SUBJECT: University of Colorado at Boulder on Alert Following Boulder High
             School Incident

A report of two suspicious individuals at nearby Boulder High School early
Thursday morning prompted the University of Colorado to temporarily close 19
buildings and notify key personnel in the affected buildings of a heightened
    alert status on campus.

Because CU public safety officials do not believe there is an immediate threat
to the CU-Boulder campus community, final exams, move-out and
graduation-related events are proceeding as scheduled on the campus and extra
security measures have been taken. As in normal circumstances, participants in
these activities are urged to report any suspicious persons or behavior to the
CU Police Department by calling (303) 492-6666 or, in an emergency, 911.

The University will continue to closely monitor this situation and provide
updates as needed. A message to the CU community is available on CU-Boulder's
information line at (303) 492-5500, and updates to that line will be provided
    as needed throughout the day.
