Homeless is a phenomenal trip! Participants are provided with a wide
arrange of speakers and activities, as well as eye-opening service opportunities
at homeless shelters, urban gardens and innovative businesses designed to

ANIMAL RIGHTS WITH ALTERNATIVE BREAKS: APPLICATIONS OPEN UP TRIP IS
    FULL

If animals are your passion then this is the trip for you! Spend Spring
Break at SARA Animal Sanctuary, a no kill facility in Texas that has cats, dogs,
steers, goats, burros, hogs, roosters, chickens and mustangs. During the week:
assist with an adoption event, bring animals to nursing homes, and
play/exercise with the animals. We'll spend a half day in Austin along the
River Walk and another half day in San Antonio.

NUTRITION AND WELLNESS ALTERNATIVE BREAKS APPLICATIONS OPEN UNTIL
    FULL

Come and learn about nutrition and wellness in the Live Music Capital of
the World! Austin is home to an amazing variety of experiences all of which we
will be exposed to on our trip. More importantly, volunteer with Urban
    Patchwork, a neighborhood-based, community-run urban agriculture network.
Urban Patchwork helps small communities turn unused yard space into farmland
that provides fresh, organically grown produce, fruits, nuts and eggs to
residents. Help make Austin's neighborhoods sustainable!

HALLET HALL RESIDENTS: APPLICATIONS OPEN UNTIL FULL FOR ALTERNATIVE
    BREAKS

Spend a week in the Kanatsiohareke Mohawk Community in New York! Days are
spent on the reservation doing renovations, working in communal
households/gardens and on the farm. Evenings are spent with the tribes'
spiritual leader learning about the history and traditions of the tribe and their
relationship with the land. Gain insights about the tribe as they reestablish their
relationship with the natural world around them, while restructuring traditional
    values and revitalizing their language.

    UNTIL TRIPS FULL

Operation Breakthrough is a nationally accredited, nonprofit corporation
that began in 1971 as a response to requests from parents in Kansas City for
quality childcare for children of the working poor. Spend Spring Break reading to
preschoolers, monitoring grade-school children, and helping with miscellaneous
community service projects such as painting rooms and cleaning up areas
that the kids live and learn in. All of our efforts will be directed towards
    children from underprivileged communities.
