AUTOBIOGRAPHY IS ANOTHER STORY: LIVES IN HINDI (CAS EVENT)
Friday, Nov. 18, 4 p.m. in Hale 230. A talk by Prof. Rupert Snell from the
University of Texas at Austin. Hindi has a rich tradition of writing about
the self. This talk discusses examples from a dozen works, ranging from
self-consciously literary texts to the transcribed memoirs of a provincial
station-master.

LEARN BASIC RECORDING AND EDITING SKILLS USING AUDACITY
Audacity is a free and easy to learn software program. Creating audio
tracks for multimedia presentations, compiling songs, and recording vocals or
narration are all possible with this wonderful little program. This workshop
will guide you through a step by step demonstration for creating and mixing
audio, including: fading, amplifying, using multiple tracks, deciding on
exporting formats and more. Available for Windows, Mac and even Linux/Unix
Audacity is capable of producing high quality audio mixes.
