    The Bursar's Office will open at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 so the
    staff can attend a special training. Payroll checks will not be available

    DIA DE LOS MUERTOS/DAY OF THE DEAD

    Please join us in celebrating and honoring our ancestors. Community altars
    will be displayed Nov. 1 and second in UMC 227. Also, stop by to get your
    face painted or to decorate sugar skulls Nov. 2 from 11 a.m.-to 3 p.m. in UMC
    227. Cafe Cultura, a spoken word/poetry collective from Denver will also be
    performing in honor of our ancestors Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Humanities 250.

    UC BERKLEY SCHOOL OF OPTOMETRY INFORMATIONAL SESSION

    Dr. Richard Van Sluyters will speak and answer questions about optometry and
    the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry on Thursday, Nov. 3, at
    5:30-7 p.m. in Hellems 263. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the
    exciting field of optometry and one of the premier schools of optometry in the
    world. As always, food will be provided!

    "VINCENT WHO?" SCREENING WITH PRODUCER CURTIS CHIN NOV. 3

    In 1982, a horrific murder jolted Asian Americans awake. "Vincent Who?" is
    a documentary that explores how far we have come. The University of Colorado
    Law School's Asian Pacific American Law Student Association would like to
    invite you to meet Curtis Chin, the producer of the documentary. Please join us

    KITCHEN TABLE- A SOCIAL GATHERING FOR WOMEN OF COLOR AND MULTI-
    ETHNIC WOMEN

    Kitchen Table is a casual, networking and social gathering for conversation
    about the experience of women of color and multi-ethnic women on campus.
    Students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend. Enjoy food and company,
    network, strategize and relax together! Kitchen Table meets every second and
    fourth Tuesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Women's Resource Center (UMC 416).

    GET SUPPORT WHILE GETTING TESTED IN A SAFE AND CONFIDENTIAL SPACE

    Community Health offers free and confidential HIV testing for all CU
    students. Testers will explore ways to reduce transmission of HIV and answer
    any questions you my have. Testing is on Mondays from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in
    UMC 411 and Wardenburg Health Center. It's also offered on Wednesdays from
    10:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. in UMC 411 and Atlas 202. It is safe, simple and
    results are delivered in 20 minutes. No appointment necessary.
