    FILM SCREENING AND DISCUSSION OF "MOTHER: CARING FOR 7 BILLION," SATURDAY, OCT. 29

    "Mother: Caring for 7 Billion," on Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. in Humanities B150, explores the widespread implications of the global population reaching 7 billion in 2011- nearly doubling since 1960. The film features world-renown experts and scientists, follows a mother's journey through Africa, and
    offers solutions through education rather than blame. In conjunction with Colorado Bioneers, the film is free and open to public. Join co-producers Joyce Johnson and Christophe Fauchere for a discussion afterward.

    SUGAR FREE FEMINISM- MYTHIS OF FEMINISM: WE NEVER BURNED OUR BRAS

    Professor Claudia Van Gerven from the Honors Department, Leslie Wong from the Center of Multicultural Affairs, and WRC student staff Emma Carpenter will present their experiences and lead an intergenerational discussion around the
    myths of feminism. The discussion will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 12 p.m. in the Gates Woodruff Cottage.
