    STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM, INCLUDING PORTALS, WILL BE UNAVAILABLE THIS WEEKEND

    University Information Systems (UIS) will conduct maintenance over the
    coming weekend which will make ISIS systems unavailable, including the
    MyCUInfo and MyCUBoulder portals, on Friday night and all of Saturday. The
    maintenance will start at 6 pm on Friday, Oct. 21 and is expected to
    conclude by noon on Sunday, Oct. 23. A complete list of affected services
    is available at the site listed below.

    ACCLAIMED SCHOLAR AND HISTORIAN PAULA FREDRIKSEN COMES TO CU

    The Program in Jewish Studies welcomes Paula Fredriksen for a lecture about her
    recent book, Augustine and the Jews, which focuses on how Augustine's
    struggle to read the Bible led him to a new theological vision, one that
    countered the anti-Judaism not only of his Manichaean opponents, but also of

    HOLLYWOOD AND BIRDS AT THE CU MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, 7 PM, THURSDAY, 10/27

    The University of Colorado Museum of Natural History and EcoArts Connections
    will host a panel discussion "Hollywood and Birds," 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct.
    27 at the museum with Colorado Public Radio and National Public Radio film
    commentator Howie Movshovitz and a panel of scientists, birders and film
    historians from CU and the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory. Participants will
    screen clips from Hollywood movies, from cartoons to classics, discussing
    what's "real" science and what's not.
