    TAKACS QUARTET AND COLORADO SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL PERFORM IN
    "QUARTET" BY DAVID LAWRENCE MORSE!

    In this exciting new drama, Beethoven rises above illness and tortured
    relationships to compose his most sublime music. Colorado Shakespeare Festival
    actors perform the drama, while the Takacs integrate musical examples. Finally,
    the Takacs perform Beethoven's stunning String Quartet in A-Minor, Op. 132.

    THE ARTIST SERIES PRESENTS THE OREGON BALLET THEATRE!

    Nationally acclaimed Oregon Ballet Theatre demonstrates its distinctive style
    in a performance on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 pm in Macky Auditorium. Dancers
    from the company will perform works by Stowell, Tharp, Balanchine and
    McIntyre. MFA in Dance candidate Stephanie Tuley will give a pre-concert talk

    NEW CLASSES AT THE STUDENT RECREATION CENTER

    New classes are just beginning in Dance (Latin & Cuban Salsa, Belly Dance, and
    Hip Hop Dance), Women's Self Defense, Massage Techniques, Lifeguard Training
    and Adult Learn-to-Swim. Most classes begin the week of Oct. 25, so don't wait,
    get registered now! Registration is accepted at the Student Rec Center cashier,
    and is available to full-time CU Students and Adult Members of the Recreation
    Center.

    1/2 PRICE CLASSES AT THE STUDENT REC CENTER

    All "Full-Semester-Length Classes" in Aerobics, Indoor Cycling, Martial Arts,
    Master's Swim, Pilates and Yoga are now "half price" for the remainder of the
    fall semester. This also includes our Aerobics "Fitpass", "Cycle Pass" and our

    EVENT PLANNING 101- HOW TO PLAN SUCCESSFUL EVENTS

    Planning an event this year? Start off by going to the Event Planning 101
    Workshop on Monday, Nov. 1 in UMC 457 from 4-5:30 pm! Hosted by CU GOLD
    and the Dennis Small Cultural Center, this workshop includes the fundamentals
    of event planning, delegation and motivation. A panel of departmental

    CU HOCKEY VERSUS CSU AT THE PEPSI CENTER FRIDAY

    The CU hockey team will face Colorado State on Friday, Oct. 29 at the Pepsi
    Center in Denver. Tickets are $20 and also includes a Colorado Avalanche
    ticket on Nov. 15 or Feb. 14, a $42-$58 value. Tickets can be purchased by any

    THERE IS NO VACCINE TO PREVENT HIV INFECTION

    And getting tested is the only way to know if you are infected. Community
    Health offers free and confidential HIV testing to all CU students. Testing is on
    Mondays and Tuesdays from 5-6:30 pm in UMC 411. It is on a walk-in, first-
    come, first-served basis. Results take only 20 minutes. So come on by UMC
    411, get tested and know your status.

    The Colorado Bioneers Conference is Friday-Sunday, Nov. 5-7, 2010, on
