SENDING A BUFF BULLETIN, SBB OR F/S E-MEMO? SUBMISSION RATES - FY 11
Effective July 1, 2010, the rate for sending out a Buff Bulletin (BB) or
Student Buff Bulletin (SBB) will be $18.53 each, no change from FY 10. Rates
for sending a faculty-staff E-Memo will drop to a flat fee of $55.00 each
with the elimination of the additional $0.004 per address charge. NOTE:
There is no charge for receiving Buff Bulletins, SBBs or E-Memos. Please
contact University Communications with any questions concerning these
changes. Thanks for using E-Memo and Buff Bulletin services.

Sunday, July 18, 6 p.m., Norlin Library Commons room E113. Slide talk and
rapid ride from pre-history to a speculative future in the ways humans
communicate. Why Socrates decried the written word; how calligraphic writing
influenced early printed work; printing types through the centuries; the
transition to digital; evolution of alphabetic symbols. By Brian Allen,
co-founder the Books Arts League, who worked for over twenty years in
digital font production and is a calligrapher and letterpress printer.

Trace Reddell, Director of DU Digital Media Studies, on how the new field of
digital studies pays tribute to five centuries of printing; learn how
craftsman, Rob Barnes, Foils & Dies Vintage Pressworks, Denver, applies
centuries of letterpress history to bring fresh life to text. Sponsors

T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST!
The Leeds School of Business is having a t-shirt design contest. Anyone can
enter. Submission deadline is July 31. The winning logo will be printed and
given to students for the 2010-2011 school year.
