IMPROV COMEDY FRIDAY
This Friday, Left Right TIM is doing two improv comedy shows! First, at
8PM (doors 7:30PM), we continue our weekly show in Hale 270. Then, at
11PM (doors 10:30PM), we bring you our hit weekly late night show in
CLUB 156 in the UMC Connection. Both shows are only $3, totally

LUNCH AND LECTURE ON ENERGY JUSTICE
Christos Fall 2009 Lecture Series: "The Need for Energy Justice," Dr.
Lakshman Guruswamy is a world expert in International Environmental Law.
His talk explores the energy-oppressed poor, especially indoor air
pollution, and presents a framework for delivering appropriate
sustainable energy technologies to the world's poor. Sponsored by

PUBLIC INTEREST INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE PROGRAM
Need funding for an unpaid internship this summer? CU PIIE may be your
answer! We offer $4,320 stipends to select undergraduate students for
participating in unpaid, summer internships in nonprofit and
government agencies within Colorado. This program is for students
interested in creating positive change in their communities. CU PIIE

The AIDS Quilt is the world's largest piece of community art and will

CALL FOR ARTISTS
The UMC Art Gallery is currently soliciting artists' proposals for our
Nov 16- Dec 11 show "Home for the Holidays." We're looking for work that
represents what the holidays mean to the artist. Be that a hearth and
snow, friends and family, loss of a loved one, or frustration and
stress, individuals are encouraged to present a personal interpretation

MOVERS: "SMASHING THE IDOLS"- PROGRAM LAUNCH AND TEACH-IN
The Program in Jewish Studies at CU is presenting a year-long series of
events that will examine how Jews have often been at the forefront of
social, cultural and political change. Please join us for our launch on
10/22 that will feature international, national and local leaders in the
Jewish community. Such presenters will include Jewish American Israeli
war correspondent, Orly Halpern and Executive Director of the

ECO-FIT WORKSHOP ON SATURDAY
ECO-FIT Environmental Responsibility Seminar, Sat. Oct. 10, 7-8PM for
free. The benefits of green living & gives the tools for a low-impact

SEASONAL FLU CLINIC FOR HIGH-RISK STUDENTS
Wardenburg Health Center will hold the first of a series of flu clinics
on Oct. 14-15 from 12-4PM in the health center. Seasonal flu vaccine
will be available for high-risk students only (those who are pregnant or
have underlying health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, compromised
immune systems, etc.). Seasonal flu vaccine is $20 (no cost if enrolled
