CAMPUS ALERT SYSTEM TEST, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
On Tuesday, Sept 29, CU-Boulder will test the Campus Alert emergency
messaging system. Students, faculty and staff who have signed up to
receive emergency messages via cell phone, emails or both will receive
notifications shortly after 12pm on Sept 29. If you have not yet signed
up to receive emergency alerts visit http://www.colorado.edu/alerts/.
Users are encouraged to save Campus Alert to their phone contacts so
that calls may be easily identified.

RECRUITING PARTICIPANTS FOR ACUPRESSURE STUDY
CU-Boulder/Clinical Neuroscience Research Group is seeking brain injury
survivors for a study on the effects of acupressure after brain injury.
Participants will receive free acupressure treatments and up to $150.

What Caused the Rivers on Mars: Climate Change or Imapacts? Dr. Brian
Toon talks about a new idea that has emerged suggesting asteroid impacts
may have led to the release of water from beneath Mars' surface. LASP is

With the growing sex tourism in Cambodia, unaccompanied beach children
selling bracelets & collecting cans for meager earnings are at serious
risk of being victimized by sex predators. Cambodian Children's Painting
Project serves these underprivileged children by ensuring that they have
a safe place to play, to learn, and to dream. This Friday, stop by
Saxy's Cafe on Pearl between 5pm-8pm and learn more about the issues
these children face. Paintings will be displayed. Sponsored by Bare
Necessities, a CU student group.

JUSTICE FOR THE ENERGY OPPRESSED POOR
Over 2 billion people living on less than a dollar per day rely on
bio-mass based fuel resources that create black soot, which results in
the annual death of over 1 million. On Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 5pm in UMC
457, learn more about Energy Justice, progressive technologies, and the
upcoming conference. This event is open to the public and hosted by the
Dennis Small Cultural Center and the Center for Energy & Environmental
Security.

CELEBRATION PARTY OF THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF PRC AND CHINESE MID-AUTUMN
FESTIVAL
A free party open to all will be held by Chinese Students and Scholars
Association(CSSA) in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of PRC and
the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Free traditional Chinese
food and moon-cakes will be provided. Participants will have a unique
access to various Chinese cultures like calligraphy, costume show,
riddles, and other fun games. Prizes will be offered on the scene.
