FACING TRANS:INCLUSION, ADVOCACY AND EMPOWERMENT
Join CU's Gay Straight Alliance and guest speaker Jessica Pettitt, for a
evening blending politics, humor, identity and flair. As we become
comfortable with the lesbian and gay plight on our campuses, we
continually overlook and silence transgender populations. Referred to as
the "Margaret Cho of diversity trainers," Pettitt will take audiences
through a safe, yet confrontational process of examination, reflection,
and open dialog that will facilitate a more supportive campus climate
for all. Tuesday March 4, 7:30 p.m., UMC Room 382.
