NEW SHOW AT THE UMC ART GALLERY: THE DISPLACED
"The Displaced: Disappeared Peoples of Colombia" is on view at the
UMC Art Gallery through March 21, M-F 10:30 am-5:30 pm. "Photographs
of Survival" portray images of people who have been displaced due to
political turmoil and military corruption. The exhibition is curated
by CU Professor George Rivera and Adriana Restrepo. We invite you to
the reception on Thursday, Feb. 28, 4:30-6:30 pm with music and food.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES PROGRAM PRESENTS TWO NEW GREEN BUILDING COURSES
Local building professionals Brian Fuentes and Michael Broussard are
teaching two, one-day courses as part of the Sustainable Practices
Certificate Program offered through Independent Learning.
March 1: Whole Home Green Remodeling
March 2: Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Integration for Designers
These courses can be taken individually or as part of the Sustainable
Practices Certificate Program. CU staff and students receive a 10%
discount on noncredit Sustainable Practices courses.

STUDY DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY IN MONGOLIA THIS SUMMER! INTEREST MEETING FEB. 28
Spend three weeks this summer studying contemporary issues in
Mongolia through the medium of digital photography. Earn 3 studio
arts credits or fulfill the A&S core requirement "Cultural and Gender
Diversity" through lectures and visits to historical and cultural
sites with Professor and Program Director Ken Iwamasa from the

RUN FOR STUDENT GOVERNMENT OFFICE
Help build a better student government. Run for office in the spring
2008 UCSU election. There are four seats open for Representative

DETAILED HEALTH SCREENING - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The IPA Lab is investigating the effects of age and antioxidants on
arterial function. Arterial function is the ability of your arteries
to increase in size and is an indicator of your cardiovascular
health. Participants should be males aged 18-35 or 60-79,
non-smokers, doing little to no physical activity and on minimal
medications. Benefits include a detailed health screening and
