FORMER CHILD SOLDIER AND AUTHOR ISHMAEL BEAH TO SPEAK AT CU
Ishmael Beah, author of "A Long Way Gone" will speak at CU on Feb. 5
at 7:30 pm (doors 6:45 pm) in Macky Auditorium. At 13 Beah was forced
to serve in the Sierra Leone government army. He recounts these events
in his memoir and will speak about them at CU. Tickets can be
purchased for $1 in the UMC Connection (the bowling alley). For more

KATE BREAKEY ART OPENING AND RECEPTION
Kate Breakey: Small Deaths from the collection of the Wittliff
Gallery of Southwestern and Mexican Photography, Texas State
University-San Marcos, Feb. 7-May 16.
Kate Breakey's large format hand-colored photographs commence with
bird, flower and reptile specimens that she has found deceased in
nature, memorializing these small creatures as well as inscribing
each with its scientific specimen name. The opening reception is
Thursday, Feb. 7, 5-7 pm at the Museum of Natural History, followed
by a distinguished artist lecture by Kate Breakey. Both events are free
and open to the public.

TURN A TWO HOUR DRIVE INTO A TWO HOUR NAP - THE SKI BUS IS RUNNING
THIS WEEKEND!
This Saturday, Feb. 9 and Sunday, Feb. 10 meet the Ski Bus at the
Williams Village bus stop at 5:50 am or Kittredge parking lot 308 at
6:10 am. Equipped with pillows and blankets, the luxury Ski Bus coach
will let you sleep in comfort to the slopes. Round-trip tickets are
$10 each day, available at the Rec Center reception desk. Departs
Saturday to Keystone, Sunday to Breckenridge.

MINE YOUR OWN BUSINESS - THE DARK SIDE OF ENVIRONMENTALISM
Mine Your Own Business talks to some of the world's poorest people
about how some western environmentalists are campaigning to keep them
in poverty because they think their way of life is quaint. It is the
first documentary to ask hard questions of the environmental movement.

Theatre and Dance presents "Cloud 9." In this classic British satire,
