Distinguished Speakers Board Openings
Join the group that brought Kofi Annan to campus! UCSU's Distinguished Speakers
Board is currently accepting new members. Our mission is to bring speakers of
the highest caliber, who will intellectually stimulate the student body and the
surrounding community. We aim to bring individuals who will represent a variety
of worldviews. Submit resume and letter of interest to cudsb@colorado.edu by
5:00 PM Friday, September 7.

Before you start hitting the books again, come to the UMC on Friday, August
24th for a plethora of awesome activities. The evening will be filled with FREE
entertainment including a breakdance battle, games, prizes and films. Also make
sure to stop by Club 156 to check out an awesome concert full of local music
that will be playing to kick off the school year. This is a night you do not
want to miss!!

Stanley Fish Best Should Teach Lecture
Professor Stanley Fish, Davidson-Kahn Distinguished University Professor of
Humanities and Law, College of Law, Florida International University, is the
speaker for the Best Should Teach Lecture, August 22, 2007 from 3:00 pm - 4:30
pm in Macky Auditorium on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus. His
talk is titled, -Save the World on Your Own Time-. Admission is free and
everyone is invited to attend.

GTP/CIRTL On-line Fall 2007 Course for Graduate Students
Wednesdays, September 5 - December 12 (2 credits) 12:30 - 1:45 pm MST plus one
hour recitation (TBD)
The course focuses on teaching science and math. Five openings for graduate
students in STEM. The course is designed to promote the development of skills,
habits, and knowledge-base associated teaching, learning, and assessment. To
