THANK YOU FOR SMOKING MOVIE SCREENING
Did you know that in 2001, the tobacco industry spent $25 million per
day on advertising cigarettes? How about that it's harder to quit
smoking than quitting heroin or cocaine? Interested in learning more
about tobacco lobbying? Come to the Student Wellness Program's free
screening of Thank You for Smoking. The screening will be held at 5:30
pm on Monday, March 19 in Humanities 1B50 and will be followed by free
food and discussion.

SPRING BREAK KATRINA RELIEF AND SUMMER PERU SOLIDARITY TRIP
SCLM special interest meeting, Katrina Relief: The Gulf is still in
need of help. The trip will be going to Waveland, MS to rebuild this
Spiring Break! Peru: Work with the poorest in Peru with building
projects in Lima as well as a visit to Machu Picchu. This trip will be
in the summer. This special event meeting is March 21, 6:30 pm,
Wednesday, HLMS room 185. SCLM meets every Wednesday at 6:30 pm.

ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE STEERING COMMITTEE PANEL THIS WEEKEND!
"The Climate of Environmental Justice: Taking Stock" is this Friday and
Saturday, March 16-17 and will feature a keynote session from Mark
Udall at 4:30 pm and a discussion by Robert Bullard Saturday morning.
Also, CU's very own Environmental Justice Steering Committee will be
holding a panel Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm which will discuss
solutions to environmental injustices, specifically to those within our
local region. CU students, faculty and staff are free!

BE A "CATCH THE MANIA" WINNER LIKE CHAD MURRAY!
First place in round two of the "Catch the Mania" contest went to
junior Chad Murray for his idea to create a buffalo out of recycled
materials. He suggested using cans to represent the body, bottle ends
for the eyes and re-used carpet for the fur around the head. We loved
Chad's idea because it's a creative way to re-use materials and

THE IMPORTANCE OF WORKERS RIGHTS IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY
Executive Director Scott Nova of the Worker Rights Consoritum is
comming to CU. Learn about two factory shutdowns Nike does not like to
talk about. This is the second part of the CU and Corporate
Responsibility lecture series sponsored by the Office of the Vice
Chancellor for Administration and the Coalition Against Sweatshop

NOROOZ, PERSIAN NEW YEAR
The Persian Students' Organization (PSO) presents The Norooz, Persian
New Year. When? Sunday, March 18. Where? UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom.
Time? 5:15-11 pm, free! But tickets required ahead of time due to
capacity limitations. For ticket reservations, please send a message to
the email address below. Come dance into the New Year, Persian style!
Modern and traditional dance performances, youth show, skits,
