Program Council is proud to announce they will be hosting GLOWfest, featuring Savoy and Crystal Castles in Balch Fieldhouse on Apr. 22 at 6:00 p.m. Sorry for Partying, Thick Chick, FRESH2DEATH and McAdoo will be supporting the two electronica heavyweights during this music festival.

Savoy is a local genre-jumping dance band known for dazzling light shows and multimedia live concerts. The band has been gaining exponential exposure locally and nationally after opening for Pretty Lights during the 2009 Welcome Back Concert hosted by Program Council. Savoy recently played one of the most popular sets at the inaugural Snowball Music Festival in Vail. Savoy will be bringing their impressive lighting and laser rig to their latest headlining show in Balch Fieldhouse.

After selling out the Boulder Theatre last year, Crystal Castles is returning as a major supporting act for GLOWfest. Crystal Castles plays a brand of electronica that is as fast and spastic as it is impressively composed and rejuvenating. The duo is notable for their frequent 8-bit mutations of sound samples and scratchy, manipulated vocals from Alice Glass.

This festival, hosted by Program Council, SEAC and This Song Is Sick, will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Apr. 22. This will be an alcohol-free and substance-free concert open to students as well as members of the general public of all ages.

Tickets can be purchased at http://www.cuglowfest.com
