Give-a-day: A day of exploration and community
Saturday, September 25th
Take some time and Give-a-day to a great cause! The Volunteer Resource Center will be partnering with two different organizations to offer two service opportunities:
Live Free Trail Build
We invite Live Free weekend pledgers to join together for a day in nature and in service to your community! Volunteers will be using hand tools to construct a three foot wide multi-use trail at Betasso Preserve. Read about Live Free Weekend here: http://www.colorado.edu/livefreeweekend/
Prodigal Son Initiative
Join other CU students for a day in Denver's Park Hill community. You will meet community leaders and youth who are working together to provide alternatives to gang violence. Prodigal Son provides summer excursions and after-school programs, a community center, mentoring and wellness programs for kids aged 8 to 13.

Apply to become a part of VRC's freshman intern program
The Volunteer Intern Program (VIP) is a volunteer internship program for first-year students with an interest in promoting active citizenship at CU. Interns have the opportunity to play an integral role in the VRC community while building excellent resume skills and becoming more connected to the community.
