SUBJECT: Last Minute Graduation Reminders!
Dear Spring Graduates:
Just a few last minute reminders about the university commencement ceremony on
Friday, May 9
Come early and enjoy free breakfast burritos from UMC Catering, Starbucks
coffee and OJ from Whole Foods the morning of commencement, prior to the start
of the traditional procession across campus. The breakfast will start at 7:00
a.m. and the procession will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. at the Norlin
Quadrangle.
The university commencement ceremony is an academic ceremony; therefore all
participants must wear traditional CU academic regalia. Undergraduates are
required to purchase regalia for the ceremony from the CU Book Store and
Master's, doctoral, and law students are required to rent academic regalia for
the ceremony from the Balch Fieldhouse. Please see the commencement web site
for specific details.
Guests should be in their seats well before 8:15 a.m. in order to watch the
student processional into the stadium. No tickets are required for the
ceremony. Early arrival guarantees the best seating. The stadium gates will
open at 7:00 a.m. The event will be held in Folsom Stadium regardless of the
weather, so guests should dress appropriately. Sunscreen is recommended.
The university ceremony will be broadcast live via the web starting at 8:30
a.m. (MST) at http://www.colorado.edu/commencement. And remember, the
commencement web site has answers to all of your questions regarding the
ceremony.
