SUBJECT: Graduation Pledge
Attention Graduating Seniors:
For the first time, the Graduation Pledge is coming to the University of
Colorado! The pledge serves as a commitment to social and environmental
responsibility upon commencement and entrance into life beyond college. The
Graduation Pledge states:
-I pledge to consider the social and environmental consequences of choices I
make in my personal life and work, and will act with integrity in my workplace
and community.-
Now implemented at hundreds of colleges and universities around the nation in
various forms, the Graduation Pledge is the perfect way to express your
devotion to being a conscientious, engaged citizen after you leave CU. The
Pledge will be included in the Commencement program and graduates who sign the
pledge will display their commitment by wearing a green cord on Graduation Day.
The first time to sign the pledge will be this Friday, April 27 from 11-3 at
the Senioritis Lounge Day on Norlin Quad and from 4-8 pm at the Senior Sendoff
Barbeque at Koenig Alumni Center. Additional times to sign the pledge will be
listed on our website! Collect your complimentary green cord at the
Commencement Breakfast on Norlin Quad the morning of May 11th before the Folsom
Field ceremony.
