The University of Colorado at Boulder Police Department is releasing
sketches of two possible suspects in connection with a third-degree assault
that occurred near the Coors Event Center on the CU-Boulder campus on

A male and female walking in the area at approximately 2:30 a.m. were
confronted by two male suspects, according to CU Police. Unprovoked by the
victims, the suspects pulled the female victim's hair, pulling her to the
ground. The male victim tried to defend the female and was assaulted. The
male victim sustained a broken tooth and abrasions to his face.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7
inches tall, broad build, 20-21 years old, brown or dark-colored hair,
darker color eyes, short hair and pale complexion, according to CU Police.
At the time of the attack, the suspect was described as wearing a dark
T-shirt, light-colored khaki shorts and dark shoes.

The second suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall,
155 to 160 pounds, 18-20 years old, with longer shoulder-length blond to
reddish hair, according to CU Police. At the time of the assault, the
suspect was described as wearing a purple or blue T-shirt with a logo on the
back, dark pants or long shorts (below the knee), and dark shoes or
    sneakers.

    The case remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CU Police at
