SUBJECT: CUantivirus Requires Manual Update
An errant update from the vendor of CUantivirus will likely necessitate a
manual update of CUantivirus for many users. Those that are running an
out-of-date version of the antivirus software run the risk of not receiving
further antivirus updates if they fail to manually update the software.
Unfortunately, some systems affected by this problem do not show signs of
having an out-of-date version. Because of this, the IT Security Office
recommends anyone using CUantivirus perform a manual update of their
antivirus software.
Instructions for manually updating CUantivirus are available at
http://www.colorado.edu/its/docs/security/antivirus/manualupdates.html
If you have questions about CUantivirus or how to update it, please contact
the IT Service Center at help@colorado.edu or call 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from
a campus phone). Phone help is available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 7
p.m.
