Dear Members of the University of Colorado Community,
As I mentioned in my Jan. 12 communique, the governor's Office of State
Planning and Budget is scheduled to issue its recommendation on cuts to the
2008-09 budget to the Legislature's Joint Budget Committee today. We have
learned this is likely to happen late this afternoon or early evening. Since
we want to provide you with the most current information, which cannot be
quickly disseminated via e-mail in that time frame due to technical vagaries
with our systems, I would ask that you log on to https://www.cu.edu and
click the link "CU Budget Updates." I will post a communique shortly after
the recommendation is made.
