SUBJECT: Boulder Police investigating sexual assault are asking witnesses to
come forward
Boulder Police are investigating the possible sexual assault of a woman who was
found by two passersby at about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the area of
12th and College streets. The passersby helped the woman get home. The woman's
roommates then took her to the hospital.
The woman, 21, is a CU student. She initially told investigators she had been
sexually assaulted sometime earlier in the evening in the area of Grandview
Avenue and Broadway Street. After further investigation, it is unclear where
the incident occurred.
This case remains under investigation, and the department is not releasing
additional details. At this point, investigators have no information that links
this to recent reported sexual assaults. Detectives are continuing to talk with
the victim and possible witnesses and work to corroborate the information that
has been provided.
Investigators are interested in speaking with the two female passersby who
found the woman.
