    SUBJECT: Urgent Microsoft Security Vulnerability

    Microsoft has released a new security bulletin that has been classified by ITS
    as urgent (the highest of the three severity levels). CU-Boulder has been
    notified that the possibility exists that the vulnerability is currently being
    exploited. System administrators and end users should patch systems immediately.

    This vulnerability affects all Windows operating systems. Patches are available
    via Windows Update. For update instructions go to
    http://www.colorado.edu/its/docs/hardwaresoftware/windowsupdate.html.

    If you need assistance with these patches please contact the IT Service Center
    at 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from a campus phone) between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday
    through Friday.
