SUBJECT: Call for Research Proposals for the 2012 President's Teaching and Learning Collaborative
Central to the work of the Collaborative is to create and publish scholarship
in teaching and learning that contributes both to theory and effective teaching
practice in and across disciplines. To this end, each faculty researcher
designs and undertakes an investigation aimed at deepening understanding of
disciplinary pedagogy and related to an important issue carefully identified by
the researcher in learning.
Faculty from all disciplines are invited to become investigators in CU's
President's Teaching and Learning Collaborative (PTLC), now beginning its sixth
year and establishing its 2012 cohort of faculty investigators. Faculty
researchers design, carry out and publish research on a particular aspect of
learning in a specific course. Each investigator is supported by a coach/mentor
and short seminars in how to do education research.
Applications are due Wednesday June 1, 2011
