SUBJECT: New summer class: Social Media for Social Good During Crises
Traditional views of social change are taking on new meanings and a renewed
sense of significance in the age of social media with the rising use of
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Wikipedia.
But how are social media changing the way we communicate? How does the design
of social media affect their use particularly in the crisis context? How do
social media influence how we envision social change?
These questions and more will be discussed in this ATLS 3519/5519 summer course
(Term A), Tues/Wed/Thur 1:30-4:00 p.m. Classes begin Tuesday, May 31.
See more details in the link below. Thank you for passing this on to students
and colleagues.
