SUBJECT: Spring 2011 Grading Information
In preparation for grading this spring semester, I want to update you on a
major change in grading processes in MyCUInfo that represents an efficiency
over the process followed last fall. This change addresses the issue where
faculty members weren't sure if they had completed the grading process. The
change allows all instructors (not TA's or non-primary teaching faculty) to
actually "post" the grades after they have been approved. Once the grades
have been posted, there are clear messages that indicate the grades have been
posted. If a faculty member forgets to post their grades, or does not see the
button to post, our office will run the same batch process we ran last fall
that will automatically post the grades every three hours during the grading
cycle. (NOTE --- this batch process only posts those grades after the
instructor changes the status to approved.)
Spring grading will begin on Friday, April 29, and will continue through 11:59
p.m. on Friday, May 13. For step-by-step instructions on grading, as well as
other training materials, go to http://registrar.colorado.edu/grading (we are
currently in the process of updating these documents to reflect the new posting
process. These will be done by April 30.) In addition, our office will staff
our Web Grading Hotline (2-3015) from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on weekdays May 2 - 13.
