LEAP Introductory Leadership Workshop, May 17-19, 2011
The LEAP (Leadership Education for Advancement and Promotion) welcomes
applications for the upcoming Introductory Leadership Workshop.
The workshop is open to tenure-track faculty in all disciplines.
It is a two and 1/2 day event scheduled for May 17-19, 2011. (May 17 & 18
9:00-3:00, May 19 9:00-1:00) The event is held in Benson Earth Sciences here on
campus and includes a light breakfast and lunch each day. Presentations
include sessions on time management, difficult communication, negotiation,
the tenure process and more. Come and meet colleagues from across campus
in a small and informal setting! A stipend is paid to successful applicants.
The May workshop is expected to fill quickly, on a first come-first served
basis.
