    SUBJECT: Student Writing Contest - Twelfth Annual Thompson Awards for Western American Writing

    Dear University of Colorado Faculty:

    The 12th Annual Thompson Awards for Western American Writing is coming!!

    All CU Boulder students, both graduate and undergraduate, are eligible to
    enter. Students may submit writing entries to multiple categories --- the
    categories are fiction, academic non-fiction, creative non-fiction,
    poetry, and memoir. First prize in each category is $500.

    Please encourage your students to enter the contest. They are welcome to submit
    material that they have written for your class assignments.

    We would appreciate your help in getting the word out to CU Bouder students in
    all academic areas and all levels of study. Entries are due March 15.
