SUBJECT: Extended Deadline: Call for Research Proposals for the 2011 President's Teaching and Learning Collaborative
The call for research proposals for the 2011 President's Teaching and
Learning Collaborative (PTLC) has been extended to April 12.
Central to the work of the Collaborative is to create and publish
scholarship in teaching and learning that contributes both to theory and
effective teaching practice in and across disciplines. To this end, each
scholar designs and undertakes an investigation aimed at deepening
understanding of disciplinary pedagogy and related to an important issue in
learning carefully identified by the researcher.
Faculty from all disciplines are invited to become investigators in CU's
President's Teaching and Learning Collaborative (PTLC), now beginning its
fifth year and establishing its 2011 cohort of faculty investigators.
Faculty researchers design, carry out and publish research on a particular
aspect of learning in a specific course. Each investigator is supported by a
coach/mentor and benefits from a student research assistant.
Applications are due Monday April 12, 2010.
