    SUBJECT: Teaching Tips: A Collaborative Discussion

    This interactive session will bring together faculty from different
    disciplines and levels of experience to discuss concrete ways to improve
    teaching. The session will include tips for increasing clarity and
    organization of teaching; raising levels of participation and student
    learning; handling classrooms that mix students with different backgrounds;
    adapting material and style to class size and level; use of technology
    (clickers, powerpoint, chalk); and improving student-instructor relations.
    Attendees are invited to bring specific concerns for which they would like
    tips, and to share tips that have worked for them.
