    SUBJECT: December 2009 Commencement Ceremony

    Dear Boulder Faculty:
     
    It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the University of Colorado at
    Boulder Commencement Ceremony on Friday, December 18, 2009. Please join us
    as we confer the final degrees of the Class of 2009. Your participation at
    CU-Boulder's annual commencement ceremonies represents to the students and
    their families the pride you share in their success, and your presence is an
    important acknowledgment of the significance of their achievements.

    The December ceremony will take place in the Coors Events/Conference Center
    at 9:30 a.m. Faculty should line up on the concourse (upper) level near the
    southeast entrance of the Coors Events/Conference Center by 9:00 a.m. If
    you need to have a seat before the procession, seating will be reserved at
    the rear of Section 11. Faculty will lead the procession down to the arena
    level after the undergraduate students have been seated. Seating will be
    reserved in front of the seating area on the arena level for the faculty.

    For those of you who need to rent academic regalia, please visit the
    commencement web site at http://www.colorado.edu/commencement and fill out
    the online regalia order form by November 6. My office will pay for costs
    of this rental. Your regalia will be available for pickup at Fiske
    Planetarium on Wednesday, December 16 from 11:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m., Thursday,
    December 17 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., or Friday, December 18 from 7:30
    a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Please refer to the website for answers to all of your
    commencement questions.

    Faculty who attend the ceremony are invited to the Chancellor's brunch
    immediately following the ceremony in Room 3 on the conference level of the
    Events Center.
