SUBJECT: Seed Grants/4th Butcher Symposium
Dear CU Faculty Member,
You previously received an invitation for the Fourth Butcher Symposium on
Genetics and Biotechnology that will take place on Friday, November 6, at
the Westin Westminster Hotel.
The website (https://www.cu.edu/butcher/) has been updated to include
Frequently Asked Questions and the schedule of events. The deadline for
registration is Monday, October 26. The symposium will include oral
presentations by the Butcher Awardees from 2007, poster presentations by
attending faculty, invited speakers, refreshments, and plenty of time for
discussion and interaction. Dr. Eric Olson of the University of Texas
Southwestern Medical Center, will be presented with the Charlie Butcher
Award in Biotechnology and will give the keynote address: "MicroRNA
Therapeutics for Muscle Disease."
Important information for faculty who registered and submitted an abstract
before October 1, 2009: Please re-submit your registration and abstract
(https://www.cu.edu/butcher/reg.html) because there was a problem with the
website backup, and registrations received before October 1 were
inadvertently deleted.
We're looking forward to the Fourth Butcher Symposium and we hope those of
you interested in interdisciplinary research related to genomics and
biotechnology plan to submit an abstract and attend.
