The Faculty Ombuds Program is available to faculty who may need a confidential
and impartial resource to help identify and explore options when confronted
with conflicts, uncertainties, or disagreements. Faculty Ombuds offer a safe
and informal setting for faculty to resolve disputes at the lowest possible
level. Assistance provided includes conflict-related coaching, facilitation
between conflicting parties, information about campus policies and procedures,
and referral to appropriate campus resources. The program also offers
Transitions, which is designed to assist faculty who are new to CU, new as
department chairs and administrators, or considering retirement.
The current Faculty Ombuds are retired professors Robert Fink, emeritus
Professor and former Dean of the College of Music, and Lee Potts, emerita
Associate Professor of Theatre and Dance. We can be reached by phone at (303)
492-1574 or by email (finkrr@colorado.edu) and (PottsL@ionsky.com). Our office
