SUBJECT: The Global Energy Crisis - Climate Change, Mitigation, and
SAVE THE DATE!
The CU Boulder Graduate School and Energy Initiative 12th sponsored
Annual Research Symposium will be held on August 30th. The forum will focus
on sustainable and renewable energy issues and related initiatives in
Colorado. Panelists will address critical energy issues that we will be
facing in the coming decades.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. in the University Memorial Center, Room 235.
Susan Solomon, Senior Scientist, Earth System Research Laboratory, NOAA;
Doug Arent, Director, Strategic Energy Analysis Center, U.S. Department of
Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory;
Patricia Limerick, Faculty Director of the Center of the American West and
Professor of History, University of Colorado at Boulder;
Heidi VanGenderen, Senior Advisor on Climate Change and Energy, Colorado
Governors Office of Policy Initiatives; and
Susan Avery, former Vice Chancellor for Research and Dean of the Graduate
School; Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of
Colorado at Boulder.
The symposium will conclude with a Question and Answer discussion.
