SUBJECT: LEAP Associate Professor Workshop-June
The Leadership Education for Advancement and Promotion (LEAP) Program
is excited to announce an upcoming workshop for associate professors.
This workshop will focus on 'Claiming Balance Post Tenure'.
We will discuss time management and the challenge in refocusing
research, teaching and service levels. Other topics will include
understanding departmental expectations for associate level faculty,
leadership opportunities at the associate level, mentoring junior
faculty, and short and long term career trajectory. The workshop will run from
Tuesday June 26 through Thursday June 28, from approximately 9:30 to 4:00 each
day. We will meet in Benson Earth Sciences. There is a stipend paid to
successful applicants, and we ask that you are available to attend the workshop
the full three days. We had a large number of responses to this workshop last
year, and applicants will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis this
year.
