ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL USA
Come spend an evening in Italy! Enjoy the local premiers of four recent,
critically acclaimed Italian films at the 2012 Italian film Festival USA of
Boulder. Special appearance by directors Paola Randi and Giovanna Taviani who
will be on campus to present and talk about their film. All films shown in
Italian with English subtitles at the University of Colorado, Boulder's Atlas
Hall 100. All films are FREE and open to the general public.

UCB PUBLIC AUCTION NOW OPEN TO UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEES
UCB Property Services' next public auction of surplus property/equipment will
take place Saturday, May 19, 2012. According to new legislation, university
employees may now purchase surplus property for personal use. Items to be sold
are available for preview from 9 am-3 pm Friday, May 18, 2012, at the
CU Distribution Center, 3300 Walnut Street. A list of inventory items in the
Surplus Property System is available through our website.

FREE BOOK ON BRING YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY
Bring your child to work day is Thursday, April 26. To celebrate the CU Book

CLASSIFIED STAFF PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS
The 2011-2012 performance evaluation cycle ended March 31, 2012. Supervisors
must complete an evaluation for all classified staff* and retirees in regular
non-temporary positions by their department's April deadline to ensure that all
evaluations are received by the Office of Labor Relations by May 1, 2011 (no

CHRISTIANITY, FREEDOM, AND THE DICTATORSHIP OF RELATIVISM
The Aquinas Institute (AICT) will be hosting their last academic lecture of the
Spring semester on April 26 at 7 pm on the University of Colorado, Boulder
campus in the Hale 270. Join Dr. Sam Gregg, Research Director at the Acton
Institute, as he addresses a particular threat to the world that has been
coined "the dictatorship of relativism." All are welcome to this free

THE BUDDHIFICATION OF JAPANESE WAKA IN THE HEIAN PERIOD (794-1185) (CAS EVENT)
Thursday, April 26, 4 pm in Hellems 267, lecture by Stephen Miller and Patrick
Donnelly In the Heian period, court waka - that most orthodox of poetic genres -
became the vehicle by which Japanese writers brought their literary and spiritual
aspirations together in a new way. The shift they made from the practices of their
cultural past, and the new mindset that was formed as a result of this shift, will
be the focus of this presentation.

IL TEATRO DEL FRIULI & ROSSINI'S LA CAMBIALE DI MATRIMONIO
CU Opera presents "Il Teatro del Friuli" & Rossini's "La cambriale di
Matrimonio" in the Music Theatre at Imig April 26-29. "La Cambiale di
Matrimonio" will be performed by CU-Boulder students and professional Italian
singers in conjunction with the Piccolo Festival Friuli Venezia Giulia. "Il
Teatro del Friuli" is a farce about the backstage life of an operatic
production with an original adaptation by Patrick Mason. Tickets start at $16!
