WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER: MISS REPRESENTATION SCREENING

Miss Representation is a film about how the media portrays women, especially
women in power. Media is a pervasive force in society that reinforces harmful
ideas about women- that their value lies only in their beauty and youth, that
they have no capacity as leaders. These messages play out in real life, making it
difficult for women to advance in leadership roles.

Screening will be on Tuesday, Oct. 18 in ATLAS 100 at 7 p.m.
