THE BIKE STATION WILL REOPEN ON MONDAY, MARCH 2
Warm up your cycling legs because the Bike Station is opening for the
season. During winter, it's typical for a bicycle tire to go flat or for
a chain to get a little rusty. Register your bike for $10 at the Bike
Station, then you can fill your tires, get assistance with minor repairs
and receive information about cycling around Boulder. Spring hours are
M: 9am-4:30pm and T-F: 9am-5pm.

CU BIKE PROGRAM T-SHIRTS NOW ON SALE AT THE BIKE STATION
Opening March 2, the Bike Station will feature three limited edition
t-shirts. These quality shirts are American Apparel T's, made from 100%
organic cotton, and will be on sale for $10. These shirts are designed
by a student from the visual arts program for the CU Bicycle Program. If
you enjoy cycling grab one of these shirts soon! The Bike Station is
located just east of the UMC, near the new Visual Arts building
construction.

CSERA LECTURE SERIES
CSERA (Center for Studies of Ethnicity and Race in the Americas) will
sponsor its first lecture on Thursday, Feb 26 from 12-2pm in UMC Room
247. CSERA will host Dr. George Junne, professor of Africana Studies at
UNC in Greeley. Professor Junne's talk is titled -Dearfield, Colorado:
Black Farming Success in the Jim Crow Era.- The 2009 spring semester
Lecture Series will highlight research by scholars engaging social
concerns regarding communities of color throughout Colorado.

The CU Environmental Center is co-sponsoring a series of discussions
that explore the different faiths and philosophies on environmental
issues. This week, find out the Pope's response to Global Warming and
freely question what Catholics plan to do about it, in an open
discussion. Free conversation and sushi. Thursday, Mar 26 6-7pm in the

Interactive Theatre Project, "A Day Off", in recognition of Black

ASH WEDNESDAY
Canterbury Colorado and St. Aidan's Episcopal Church invite the CU
community to the observance of Ash Wednesday, Feb 25. This observance
marks the beginning of the Christian season of Lent, a period of
confession, fasting, and awareness of our need for God's forgiveness in
our lives. Services are held at 7am, 12:05pm, and 6pm, at 2425 Colorado
