FREE AFRO-CUBAN DANCE WORKSHOP
Join the Dennis Small Cultural Center in honoring Black History Month by
attending an exciting Afro-Cuban Dance Class. Learn the fundamentals as well
as the history and culture behind the dance. So come by UMC 457 on
Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 5 p.m.! This class is meant for beginners and is open

ELEVATE 2009: CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE NEW FRONTIERS OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT
SYMPOSIUM, FEB. 26-27
The groundbreaking symposium, held in conjunction with the Leeds School of
Business' Real Estate Council Annual Conference, focuses on sustainable
urban development in an era of climate change. MORE THAN 30 of the nation's
leaders---including James Howard Kunstler, Witold Rybczynski, and Teddy
Cruz---will explore sustainable economic, social, and environmental
solutions to housing, transportation, energy, and economic development
issues. Feb. 26 at Westin Hotel, Denver; Feb. 27 at CU Law School, Boulder.

CARTSS SUMMER FUNDING FOR GRAD STUDENTS
The CARTSS Graduate Student Fellows program is a competitive grant program
for graduate students in social science departments who have completed all
course requirements and passed qualifying exams. We are particularly
interested in supporting efforts to secure external funding or student's
research required for advanced degrees. Electronic submission of three page
proposals due Feb. 27. Include budget, timeline, CV, letter of support from
thesis/dissertation advisor. Requests up to $1000 available for Summer
2009-Spring 2010.

It's a BIG BAD world out there! Join us for a new program, "Financial
Survival in the Real World: A Personal Finance Seminar" where we will

WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER HIRING
The Women's Resource Center is hiring for a Co-Marketing Coordinator and a
Co-Program Coordinator paid student-staff position. Work in a fun,
women-centered environment, develop leadership skills and gain education
