DISABILITIES AND DIGITAL ACCESSIBILITY: DIVERSITY SUMMIT SESSION
Catherine Stager-Kilcommons, CU's Assistive Technology Lab coordinator,
oversees the delivery of alternate format textbooks to students with
disabilities and helps them to get access to the information they need to
succeed. On Monday, Feb. 16, 2-3:15 p.m. in UMC room 425, Stager-Kilcommons
will presents a skills development session that explores this technology and
how it can assist instruction.

CHANCELLOR'S COMMITTEE ON WOMEN ANNUAL AWARDS
Know someone at CU who is an advocate for other women? Know a department
that continually works to improve the climate for women at CU? Nominations
of students, faculty, staff, departments, or units are currently being
accepted for the annual CCW awards. Recipients will be honored at the CCW's
annual tea on March 4. For award criteria and nomination instructions,
please visit our website and click on Awards. Nominations are due by Friday,
Feb. 13.

COMIC BOOK ARTWORK AUCTION!
"Graphia! Comics Artwork" will host an auction on Friday, Feb. 13, starting
at 5:30 p.m. in the UMC Art Gallery. Both professional and student artwork
will be available, so start your original artwork collection now! Don't
forget--every Wednesday it's FREE COOKIES (while they last) at noon at the
UMC Art Gallery! The Gallery is open M-F, 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.., 2nd floor
of the UMC, just south of the Reception Desk. "Graphia" is on view through

REPORTER ADAM SCHRAGER JOINS DIVERSITY SUMMIT, FEB. 17
KUSA Channel 9 News Reporter Adam Schrager will present from his series,
"The Principled Politician," the story of Ralph Carr, former Colorado
legislator and CU-Boulder alum, who put into action his principles of
inclusion. "In today's society, when Americans seem to want leaders above
politicians, Ralph Carr stands out," said Schrager. His session will take
place on Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller
Ballroom. Sponsored by SJMC.

SAFE ZONE: LGBTQ ALLY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING
This interactive training works to help participants develop a deeper
awareness of personal ideas, stereotypes, and assumptions related to the
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) community and help
increase participants' comfort level supporting LGBTQ individuals within the
university community. Feb. 27, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Provided by the GLBT Resource
