    US ARMY WAR COLLEGE OFFICERS VISIT CU

    Six high ranking officers from the US Army War College will be on campus
    as part of the Eisenhower Series College Program. During this one day
    visit, they participate in classes that focus on an array of national
    security and public policy issues including international drug
    trafficking, terrorism, WMD, nuclear non-proliferation, strategic
    communications, media interactions, and defense. Please contact

    THE DISPLACED: DISAPPEARED PEOPLES OF COLOMBIA, ON VIEW NOW AT THE UMC
    ART GALLERY

    "The Displaced: Disappeared Peoples of Colombia" is on view at the UMC
    Art Gallery through March 21, M-F 10:30am-5:30pm. "Photographs of
    Survival" portray images of people who have been displaced due to
    political turmoil and military corruption. The exhibition is curated by
    CU Professor Dr. George Rivera and Adriana Restrepo. Free and open to
    the public, 2nd floor UMC.

    The Energy Conservation Office is seeking help to identify campus
    buildings in need of repaired/additional weather stripping. If your

    PAUL TABOLT'S RETIREMENT PARTY - MARCH 17, 2008

    Please join Chancellor G.P. "Bud" Peterson and Senior Vice Chancellor
    Ric Porreca at a retirement reception celebrating Paul Tabolt, Vice
    Chancellor for Administration and his seventeen years of service to the
    University of Colorado. The celebration will be held on Monday, March 17
    from 2:30-5pm at the University Memorial Center, Room 235. Speakers will

    THE SPRING BIKE JAM IS THIS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12!

    Unlock that sad looking bike from its stationary state this Wednesday.
    At each of the Spring Bike Jam's seven campus locations, you'll find a
    mechanic ready with the necessary tools and skills to fix your bike and
    a musical guest for your entertainment. Be on the lookout at Kittredge,
    Engineering, Physics, Norlin, UMC, the Rec Center, Williams Village and

    BEAR CREEK REC CENTER NOW AVAILABLE!

    Come try out the Bear Creek Recreation Center. All members are now
    permitted to use the facility. Bear Creek has many amenities, including
    free weights, cybex equipment, treadmills, and eliptical trainers. You
    can take Yoga and Aerobic classes there, and the classes are half price
    starting on March 10! There are four tennis courts and two tanning

    TEXTBOOK OVERSTOCK READY TO BE RETURNED TO THE PUBLISHERS

    To help us prepare for the summer and fall semesters, the CU Book Store
    is starting to return spring overstock to the publishers. If you are
    planning to use the same textbook next semester, please send a book
    adoption to the textbook office ASAP. In addition, if you think your
    students may be waiting to make textbook purchases, please advise them
    to do so as soon as possible.
