CHANCELLOR'S COMMITTEE ON WOMEN'S ANNUAL AWARDS
Know someone at CU who is an advocate for women? Know a department that
continually works to improve the environment for women at CU?
Nominations of students, faculty, staff, or departments are being
accepted for the annual CCW awards. Award recipients will be honored at
the Diversity Summit, February 18. For award criteria and nomination

CU @ THE BOULDER PUBLIC LIBRARY SERIES, ARITHMETIC, POPULATION AND
ENERGY: SUSTAINABILITY 101
Al Bartlett will give his classic lecture on "Arithmetic, Population
and Energy: Sustainability 101" as part of the CU @ The Boulder Public
Library series on Tuesday, January 8 at 7 pm at the Boulder Public
Library. Mr. Bartlett will explain the arithmetic of steady growth and
draw attention to the consequences of a steadily growing human
population and the rates of consumption of nonrenewable resources. Free
and open to the public.

RESOLVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF THIS YEAR!
The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program is here to help you manage
stress, improve communication, consult about workplace difficulties,
build community and otherwise provide support to you. We offer short
term individual/couples/family and group counseling, supervisor
consultations, workshops and trainings. We are recruiting new members
for the Caregivers, Retirement and Self Care groups. Our next Lunch and

FREE ESL WORKSHOP
The Program for Writing and Rhetoric will offer a free ESL workshop for
individuals for whom English is a second or third language. A basic
understanding of spoken and written English is assumed. The workshop
will cover all skill areas including listening, speaking, reading,
writing and grammar, in an engaging way. Second language learners in
the university community are encouraged to attend. For more information

GENERATIONS: WORKING TOGETHER WORKSHOP
