SUBJECT: Green on the Screen: Digital Media Contest-Students can win $1000 - deadline is April 4th.
In case you haven't heard yet, YOUR STUDENTS could win $1000 by creating a Zero
Waste commercial. We need your help to promote and improve Zero Waste habits
on campus and in the community. If your students have any interest digital
media, then the Green on the Screen: Digital Media Contest is for them.
We need the help of all faculty and staff to encourage their students to take
advantage of this opportunity. Not only can students make a difference with
their digital media skills, but they can build their portfolio, provide
exposure for their work, and have the potential to win money in the process.
Sponsored by Ball Corporation, monetary prizes will be awarded as follows:
-- $1000 for 1st place
-- $800 for 2nd place
-- $600 for 3rd place
-- $400 for 4th place
-- $200 for 5th place
How students can enter:
-- Produce a 30 or 60 second commercial using any form of digital media
-- Content of the commercial must be related to specific Zero Waste issues
selected from the menu of options in the contest rules
-- Follow contest rules to submit your entry correctly
-- Submit an entry form prior to submitting your actual entry
Beyond winning the prize money, contest entries will be utilized within campus
promotions and outreach to raise awareness around sustainable actions. If the
entries are good enough, they could be extended to use in off-campus outreach
in Colorado and beyond.
You must be a student to enter and win. The contest runs from now through
April 4th. All entries must be received by April 4th at 5pm to be judged, with
winners announced on Earth Day, April 22nd.
