SUBJECT: Remaining Faculty IdentiKeys will be Deactivated

Over the past six months, ITS has worked with you toward achieving the level of
IdentiKey password compliance required by university policy for all faculty,
students and staff. With your help we have achieved 100 percent compliance with
staff and have identified approximately 400 faculty who haven't changed their
password, of which only 176 have been actively using their IdentiKey since June
2010. I am reaching out to you to alert you that we will be deactivating those
approximately 400 remaining accounts beginning February 1, concluding by February 9.

Since the e-memo sent on November 4, 2010, we have sent multiple e-mail
notifications directly to those faculty who have not updated their passwords
and in many cases have made attempts to call or otherwise contact them.
Computer Support Representatives as well as Academic Technology Consultants
have also worked closely with faculty to assist with updating IdentiKeys. As
promised, we have attempted to minimize the disruption and impact on the
teaching and learning activities of the campus.

At this point I feel that these remaining accounts cannot linger and need to be
addressed. After February 9, we will also be deactivating students who have not
yet updated their passwords, reaching total campus compliance by mid-March.
If a faculty member is deactivated, the reactivation and account claiming
process is relatively simple. Login at https://cuidm.colorado.edu and follow
the instructions or contact the IT Service Center at help@colorado.edu or call
    303-735-4357 (5-HELP from a campus phone).

My apologies in advance for any concern or inconvenience this may cause you or
    your faculty.
