SUBJECT: Classified Staff Performance Evaluations & Plans

The 2009-2010 performance management cycle for classified staff ended on
March 31, 2010. The deadline for all original evaluations was May 3, 2010.
Thank you to all of you who have turned in your evaluations by this date.
Any evaluations that have not been turned in to the Office of Labor
Relations (OLR) are now past due and must be received immediately.

The 2010-2011 performance management cycle began on April 1, 2010.
Performance Plans for the 2010-2011 cycle are due on June 1, 2010. A copy
of the front page of the planning and evaluation form, with section 1 and 2
correctly filled out, must be turned into the OLR by that date.

Each employee in a regular (non-temporary) position including retirees and
1% on-call employees must receive a new plan at the beginning of each
evaluation cycle so that s/he can be fairly evaluated at the end of the
performance management cycle. New plans must also be put into place within
30 days of an employee's hire, promotion, demotion, transfer or change in
    supervisor.

When developing performance management plans, remember that developing new
skills and training opportunities may be included. Skillport, the
University's on-line training system, is a great resource available to our
employees. You may access it through http://my.cu.edu by logging in using
your identikey. Click on the tab titled "My Training" and access it through
the top link labeled "Click here for Skillport - CU's On-line Learning."

If you have any questions about the performance management process, please
contact Brett Rogers in the Office of Labor Relations at 303-735-5720 or by
email at brett.e.rogers@colorado.edu. You may also obtain the most current
Boulder Campus Performance Management Program forms and User Guide at
