The CU Environmental Center is hosting a Sustainability Messaging Contest,

and improved messaging strategies for sustainability on-campus. Student
voice and creativity can be the strongest advocate for change, and this
contest provides a platform for students to be heard.

Beyond winning the prize money, contest entries will be utilized within
campus promotions and outreach to raise awareness around sustainable
actions. If the entries are good enough, they could be extended to use in
off-campus outreach in Colorado and beyond.

Sponsored by the Ball Corporation, First Place prizes of $1000 and Second
Place prizes of $500 will be given for each of the following categories:

    -- Video

    -- Print/Graphic

    -- Cross Media

Incorporating the theme of "Students in Action," entries must also focus on
one or more of the following areas:

    -- Reducing/Reusing

    -- Recycling

    -- Composting

-- Consumerism and the Environmental Footprint

You must be a student to enter and win. The contest runs from now through
April 2nd. All entries must be received by April 2nd to be judged, with
winners announced on Earth Day, April 22nd.

Faculty and Staff are encouraged to pass this along to their classes and
student staff to get them involved.

YOU have the power to make change. Utilize your skills, degree, creativity
and voice to develop a sustainability message that will inspire others to be
that change as well. Your actions make a difference- for better or worse,
so now is the chance to inspire others to make a positive difference.
