SUBJECT: Nominations Sought for University Perspective Program
We are seeking nominations for the 2009-2010 University Perspective program.
The purpose of the program is to retain and continuously develop campus
staff from all levels of the organization. This is done by providing peer
networks and cultivating the talents and abilities of current staff at the
CU-Boulder and System Administration.
The University Perspective will begin August 26, 2009 and end in April 2010.
The Program will begin with an in depth study about the administrative
structure of the Boulder campus. Participants will also broaden their
understanding of the University of Colorado system, its relationship with
the Board of Regents, the state and the community. In this portion,
participants will attend a legislative session at the State Capitol, a Board
of Regents meeting, and scheduled meetings at each campus of the University
of Colorado System. The format will include meeting with campus
administrators, with some class time to network with the other participants
in the program. During the course of the program, participants will be
required to attend the Boulder Faculty Assembly, Staff Council, and UCSU
Legislative Council meetings.
The University Perspective Program is sponsored by the Boulder campus Vice
Chancellors, the Chancellor and System Administration. The University
Perspective program is available to CU-Boulder and System Administration
staff who have been on campus for at least two years as a full-time
employee, and who achieve a Level 2 of Meeting Expectations in their
performance evaluations. Strong consideration will be given to individuals
who have demonstrated leadership skills in their current job
responsibilities. Each administrative area of campus is encouraged to
nominate individuals for the program.
Please submit your application materials to the appropriate administrative
office (Vice Chancellor, Chancellor, or System Administration) by July 17,
2009. Applications will be reviewed at the appropriate administrative level,
and final selections forwarded to the Organizational and Employee
Development Department. The program coordinator will contact applicants in
early August.
We encourage you to seek nomination, or nominate an individual, for this
insightful program. You can download the application form and get a detailed
description about the University Perspective program at

you have any other questions, please call Organizational and Employee
Development at 303-492-8103.
Thank you.
