Are you living with workplace conflict?
Working in an environment where there is ongoing, unresolved conflict is
stressful, and exhausting. If you are experiencing conflict with a peer,
within a supervisory relationship, or among those you supervise consider
contacting the Ombuds Office. We provide a safe confidential setting where

them.
What kinds of things do staff members, supervisors, and staff administrators

If you meet with an Ombuds Office staff member s/he can:
--listen carefully and have an in depth conversation about your concerns
--help you expand the number of options you might consider for resolving
concerns

--coach you about effective communication strategies
--explain applicable University rules, policies, or procedures
--help you understand your rights and responsibilities and those of others
--mediate a dispute between you and someone else
--offer to speak to both or all parties separately and offer suggestions for
resolution
--facilitate a group discussion
The Ombuds Office can also help you to review your options if you:
--think you have been treated unfairly or your rights have been violated
--have work-related concerns about safety or your physical work environment
