SUBJECT: Resolution of CULink Issues Will Require Downtime this Thursday
Since the spring semester rollout of the CULink, a number of persistent
functionality problems have surfaced. Diagnosing and solving these issues has
been an ITS priority and now ITS and the service vendor are confident that a
fix has been discovered for some of the highest priority issues.
Resolution of these issues will require the application of a number of patches
to the CULink system and result in the service being unavailable for a number
of hours. ITS plans to apply these patches starting at 10 p.m. on Thursday, May
24. This patching process is expected to require three hours of downtime during
which logins via the Web interface or desktop e-mail programs will not be
possible. No action is required on your part and no e-mail will be lost during
this service interruption.
These patches correct issues with the compose box and undelete functionality.
It should be noted that patch testing revealed an occasional display issue
which is resolved by refreshing your browser window. An updated listing of
CULink known issues is available at
http://www.colorado.edu/its/culink/knownissues.html.
My colleagues and I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding
during this frustrating issue resolution process. Please feel free to report
any CULink problems you encounter to the IT Service Center at help@colorado.edu
or 303-735-HELP Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
